The identity of two officers who were injured in a Wednesday late night attack by Al-Shabaab in Dadajabula police post in Wajir County can now be revealed.
The officers Police Constable Elema Sako of number 253142 and Quinto Papa of number 104883 were injured following the attack that lasted for hours.

Mr Sako according to sources that spoke to Kenyamails.com suffered gun shot on his left hip with the bullet exiting to the front.
Mr Papa “had a bullet lodged in the stomach.”
“He is now being attended at Dadajabula dispensary. He needs further specialised treatment and arrangements are being made,” an officer who spoke on condition of anonymity told Kenyamail.com.
A third officer Mr Simon Areba successfully escaped the terror attack and took cover at Horebole a nearby town.
Also injured was a woman and a National Police Reservist whose identities are yet to be established.
Currently, a team of officers drawn from the Kenya Defence Force (KDF) and Kenya Police Service are involved in a major operation to trace the attackers.
“The bodies of dead prisoners are removed to the Dadajabula Dispensary for identification and autopsy,” our source said.
