USA- A huge fire on Monday night gutted and destroyed the home where an 85-year-old woman shot two women killing one of them on the spot in an incident that happened early this month.
Kenya Mails has established that fire fighters based in the South King County quickly responded to an alarm that was raised that a house in the 2000 block of 306th lane in Federal Way was up in flames.
It later emerged that it is in the same house that a Kenyan woman identified as Ms Janet Oyuga was shot dead and her sister Angela Oyuga injured in an attack that saw the aged woman charged with murder.
South King County Fire said that the fire was put off, but its officials were not in a position to access the house and find out whether someone was inside.
“Crews were greeted with heavy flames upon arrival of this residential fire. Extensive damage is preventing crews from making entry. We will provide updates when we can,” the department said.
On December 2019, police officers responded to calls that there had been a shooting incident in the 2000 block of SW 306th Lane.
Ms Beverly Jane has been considered the main suspect in the incident especially after the police found her with an electrical cord wrapped around her neck and a gun next to her.
Police believe that she tried to commit suicide.
In the kitchen police found a blood-soaked hammer and screwdriver.
Ms Janet’s body was found with multiple gunshots while her sister is fighting for her life in a US based hospital.
The owner of the home told the police that Jenne owned the house since 1979 but it was foreclosed and sold in November 2019.
Janet and her sister were the new owners and they had already started renovating the house when the attack took place.
The duo had agreed to stay with the woman in their new house since she could end up homeless if they asked her to leave.
