The council of governors is scheduled to make a key political announcement this week.
In a press statement released on Sunday, the council stated that all the 47 governors were to meet on Monday where they will conduct its annual elections.
“The council of governors will hold a full Council meeting on Monday 20th January, 2020 where it will deliberate on critical issues concerning the Council and thereafter conduct its annual elections,” the statement read in part.
Mr Wycliff Oparanya who is the chairman council of Governors will thereafter address the media on the resolutions from the meeting.
The elections come at a time when governors allied to Jubilee are on whether to support DP William Ruto side or that of President Uhuru Kenyatta who seem not to be working together.
In addition, the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) has seen the formation of alliances with political leaders allied to Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta working together.
