The outbreak of Corona Virus has hit State House hard, forcing President Uhuru Kenyatta back to the drawing board.

In a report by the Sunday Nation, the outbreak has seen President Uhuru Kenyatta cancel two high-profile diplomatic events that were to take place on Sunday and another trip to Vatican.

The Head of State was expected to travel to Vatican in Rome Italy from March 10 to 14 and was scheduled to meet with Pope Francis.

A team had already been sent to Italy and sent a message back home that things were not well there and President Kenyatta would better stay in Kenya.

The trip to Vatican could have been the first ever trip while President Kenyatta was still in office.

“Sources indicated the second team did not leave the country and the first one was ordered back after it became increasingly clear that the President’s trip was untenable,” the Sunday Nation revealed.

The aborted trip took place at a time when Kenya has suspended all travel outside the country unless necessary as well as public gatherings.
