Coronavirus; Police Lock Down City Hotel Over Virus Scare

Police officers attached to the Central Police Station are currently manning a city hotel that is based along Moi Avenue. 

Kenya Mails has established that the woman who is in her mid 30s was in contact with one of the foreigners who has been declared as Coronavirus positive. 

Currently no-one is allowed to get into or leave the Topaz Hotel due to the situation which has sent chills in the city. 

Reporting from the scene, NTV reporter Seth Olale said that the woman had tried to leave the hotel but the police denied the move.

He further said that the people inside the hotel have stayed in the hotel since 4PM and no medics had shown up. 

“The police have been standing here since 4PM and no medic has shown up,” he reported. 

This comes just hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed two more cases in the country.
