Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang’i on Wednesday early morning confessed that indeed there was a mess in his Ministry.
In a statement, the CS in a rare move from him agreed that somethings were not okay especially on the psychological life of police officers.
His statement was made barely 10 hours after a General Service Unit (GSU) officer identified as Hudson Wakise who is attached to the CS murdered his wife, Pauline also a traffic cop in cold blood.
“I am deeply pained by the tragic incident involving Hudson Wakise and his wife Pauline Wakasa both young and vibrant officers with brilliant futures tragically ended in their shocking demise. It is a rude awakening to psycho-social challenges among some of our young officers that we have no choice but to now pay greater attention to,” the CS said.
Dr Matiang’i also sent his condolences to the family of the two officers.
In an exclusive report on Tuesday night, Kenya Mails reported the reason as to why Wakise killed his wife after speaking out to family and neighbors.
It has been established that Pauline had just arrived in their house located in Drive-In, Ruaraka within Starehe Sub-county and was taking supper when her husband arrived and a quarrel ensued.
It is then that Wakise shot his wife who was still dressed in police uniform several times before turning the gun to himself.
