Details have emerged on why Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang’i’s bodyguard shot dead his wife at their home in Drive-In, Ruaraka, Nairobi County.
Kenya Mails has established that Hudson Wakisa, a General Service Unit (GSU) officer and his wife Pauline a traffic cop attached to Kilimani Police Station have been having an off and on relationship which led to the gruesome murder.
Neighbors and close friends who spoke to this website in confidence said that the two love birds had parted ways for years until recent when they resolved issues and restarted their relationship again.
“Pauline has been all alone after they parted ways last year, she was accusing her lover of infidelity,” a police source who has been a family friend said.
A neighbor told Kenya Mails that in several occasions Mr Wakisa and his wife have continuously been quarreling in their house.
Police just hours after the incident said that Pauline was first to arrive at their house and had been served food by the house help when her husband also arrived.
The incident has been recorded at Ruaraka Police Station, Starehe Sub-county under OB number 40/06/04/2020.
In the report seen by this reporter, George Mulongo told police officers that immediately the man arrived the lady picked an argument with him accusing him of infidelity.
“They started exchanging bitter words and the wife was overheard accusing him of infidelity. That is when the man went out of the house and shortly returned to the house armed,” the report read in part.
The officer then drew the pistol a Jericho of number KP-44333035 and fired several rounds at his wife’s chest killing her instantly.
The angered officer then turned the firearm to himself and shot his chin also dying instantly.
Police were alerted by neighbors and they quickly rushed to the scene and found the two lifeless bodies lying on the floor of the seating room.
The couple leaves behind two children aged five and two years. The bodies were taken to Kenyatta University.
Police have opened an inquest of number 3/2021 over the matter.
