Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha on Tuesday, April 6, told off a hawk-eyed journalist during a live interview.
The CS was angered when the journalists asked the CS to give a comment on the current state of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) as far as irregularities were concern.
This saw Magoha fume as he wondered whether the journalist had a good understanding of the queen’s language.
“What do you mean notorious? This man does not understand English. There is nothing that has happened,” he said.
He was speaking to journalists at the end of day 6 of KCSE after he opened a container that has examination papers.
Magoha further asked the journalist to conduct additional research before making superficial claims that could easily create tension amongst candidates.
“It is time you get back to your data. Then you will realise that this is a very good year. Do you get what I am saying? He posed.
His address came barely hours after a principal in a school in Makueni was nabbed shortly after posting an examination paper on her WhatsApp status.
Kenya Mails has established that during the first week of the 2021 KCSE, 18 people were nabbed selling fake examination papers.Here is the video;
