Lang’ata Member of Parliament Nixon Korir on Thursday morning ran for his dear life after a section of youth attempted to attack him in London ward Nakuru county.
In a video making its rounds on social media, the MP who is serving his first term in Parliament was captured arguing out with some youth as he accused them of voter bribery.
The MP was amongst the election observers at Milimani Primary School in London ward.
“Kuna pikipiki sita zinaleta pesa zikipatia watu hapa sio ati hatuoni na hamtatutisha (We have six motorbikes here that are being used to ferry money to this place, you are not going to scare us)” he is heard saying.
Moments later, a section of well-charged youth emerges from behind an officer who has been identified as Mr Moseti and begin chasing them out of the station.
The youth demand that the Mp and his allies leave the polling station with immediate effect.
Mr Korir is then captured making his way out of the station before his driver rushes his car towards him and they escape the scene.
The incident came hot on the heels after the MP was captured in a video kicking a teargas canister towards the police.
It remains unclear why the police had decided to throw the teargas towards him.
Moments later, the Mp posted on his social media accounts accusing Nakuru West District officer one Mr Moseti for coordinating goons who wanted to harm him.
“One Mr Moseti, the DO for Nakuru Town West who is coordinating goons and violence in London Ward. Such officers must be held responsible and called out,” he said.
