Kisii County Octogenarian Speaker David Kombo was on Thursday afternoon finally kicked out of his lucrative position by Members of the County Assembly.
In his place Amos Onderi the MCA Bokimonge ward was elected by majority of his colleagues and immediately took over.
For months now, Mr Kombo, 76, has been ruling the county assembly with a fist and even used police officers to assault MCAs opposed to his style of leadership.
A dictatorial Mr Kombo style of leadership saw MCAs unite and work together in a bid aimed at ousting him.
Top of his critics who was even arrested was nominated MCA Eric Janganya (ODM) who vowed to ensure that Mr Kombo a church elder is kicked out of the position.
Kenya Mails has established that Mr Kombo on Thursday morning during a meeting with MCAs in Mombasa tried to plead for forgiveness but he was booed out of the podium moments before he addressed them.
This happened as Governor James Ongwae, Woman Representative Janet Ong’era and Prof Sam Ongeri watched in dismay.
Mr Kombo is on the spot and he is being accused of spearheading corruption in the County Assembly.
