Details of how city-based detectives cornered and finally nabbed five individuals who have been impersonating police officers and National Intelligence Services officials can now be revealed.
The five were on board two motor vehicles of registration number KBN 433C and KCX 732L were intercepted at T Mall area by detectives who had been informed about their ways of operation.
Detectives intercepted the two cars and upon searching the vehicle they found some of the items and fake documents that the five have been using.
“Upon searching the vehicles, the detectives found a pair of handcuffs, Fake NIS cards, KDF cards, gate passes and pocket phones,” a statement by DCI read in part.
The five have been identified as Sharoq Afzal Shah, Jamal Hassan Ali, Fred Ngusare, Francis Saitabau and Junaid Mehmood Osman are now in lawful custody.
Members of the public who may have fallen victim to the activities of the suspects have been asked to visit DCI office in Lang’ata.
A detective privy to the matter told Kenya Mails that the five individuals have been terrorising members of the public.
