Google, the provider of the Chrome browser services recently provided an update for their browser. However, there was an instant rollout because of the pending investigations about an existing bug. This bug was implemented alongside a malware that could wipe away the user’s data.
With this effect, Google has paused its release, after the discovery that the version was deleting user data from the apps on users phones.
According to reports from the Android Police, the problem starts from the WebView Status that was defined as a component that rendered web pages in other apps like the social media platforms. These pages are widely known to miss the feature of rendering pages in their setting, so they have the help of chrome.
Reports are not certain weather the update has already affected many users, but they are projected to be approximately 50 %.
